For those who are new to accountancy there is the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business. A 6-12 month programme which introduces you to Business, Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. On successful completion of three computer based exams and an online ethics module, the learner is awarded an ACCA accredited diploma. The learner then has the option to continue their studies towards becoming a fully qualified professional accountant.
A professional accountant is a person who is a member of an accountancy body regulated by IAASA (Irish Auditing & Accounting Supervisory Authority).
