The Irish Accountancy Awards is an annual event recognising and celebrating excellence in the accountancy profession in Ireland.

This year a new category, Excellence in Education & Training, has been added and StudyOnline.ie has made the shortlist.

Commenting on this, director of StudyOnline.ie Cathal McNamara, said: “We are honoured to be considered, and are excited to be celebrating the accounting profession with our colleagues at the awards night. We have been shortlisted based on our innovative approach to online learning and dedicated team of lecturers who have devoted themselves to student success. Win, lose or draw we are pleased to have made the shortlist and be recognised as leaders in accounting education.”

The winner of this award will be announced that the gala awards ceremony on May 18th.

The Irish Accountancy Awards has a number of other categories, including Best Use of Technology in Accountancy & Finance, Employer of the Year,  Large, Medium and Small Practices of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to Accountancy amongst others. The winning firms last year included Grant Thornton as Large Practice of the Year, O’Kelly-Sutton won Small Practice of the Year and  HLB Sheehan Quinn for Medium Practice of the Year, and Practice of the Year, Drohan Ryan Wynne & Company won Best Use of Technology in Accountancy & Finance. No doubt the evening will be an enormous success thanks to the hard work of Irish Accountancy Awards Team.

The event is sponsored by ACCA, CPA, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Harvest Financial Services, Institute of Incorporated Public Accountants, Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management,and  Amárach Research. The Irish Independent will be there as a media partner.
